In a swift response to a distress call, the Lagos State Police Command has apprehended an armed robbery suspect, identified as Yusuf Jafar, for allegedly committing a robbery at gunpoint in the Isheri area of the state.
The arrest was announced via an official statement shared on the Lagos Police Command's Twitter handle, @LagosPoliceNG, on Friday.
According to the statement, officers from the Isheri Division promptly responded to a distress call from a victim of a traffic robbery incident. The victim reported being robbed at gunpoint, prompting the immediate mobilization of law enforcement to the scene.
The swift action led to the successful arrest of the suspect, Yusuf Jafar, at the scene of the crime. Upon apprehension, law enforcement officers recovered a toy pistol and a knife from the suspect, highlighting the gravity of the situation.
