Kabir Masari, who previously served as a “placeholder” vice-presidential candidate for Bola Tinubu before the 2023 presidential election, recently released a "verified portrait" on Facebook outlining his current role in the presidency.
This portrait highlights his position as the senior special adviser on political matters to President Bola Tinubu, a role he assumed in July 2023.
Masari's placeholder role was a temporary position he held until Tinubu officially named Kashim Shettima as his running mate.
Following Shettima's nomination, Masari resigned from his placeholder duties.
The backlash to Masari’s post on Facebook prompted him to delete the portrait shortly after its release.
