
Tragedy struck in Abule Oke, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State as 28-year-old Adeniji Ibrahim, an ex-convict, was reportedly found dead in front of his father's residence. His father, Adeniji Kamorudeen, informed the Imasayi Police Division that his son had been detained and allegedly killed by a group of individuals accusing him of theft.
According to Kamorudeen, his son had recently returned from prison for a similar offense, but he had no suspicions regarding anyone involved in the incident.
Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident on Friday, stating that the command has commenced investigations and is actively pursuing the perpetrators.
"Yes, it is true, the incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday. The command is investigating," Odutola said.
The circumstances surrounding Ibrahim's death remain unclear, prompting concerns in the community. The police have assured the public of their commitment to unraveling the mystery behind the tragic event and bringing those responsible to justice.
