If the boy is 17, he is still a minor, so his parents can make decisions for him.
If they decided that he needs will do better in Nigeria, I do not understand the
 ruling of the Court. But if he is an emancipated minor, then he can make that
decision for himself and take his parents to court for not respecting his wishes/choice.
I will like to get more information. This is confusing.
