The Federal Government of Nigeria has recently approved an increase in the fees for the Nigerian Standard Passport, effective from September 1, 2024.

This decision is part of the government's efforts to maintain the quality and integrity of the passport.

New Fees Structure:

32-page Passport booklet (5-year validity):
Old Fee: ₦35,000
New Fee: ₦50,000

64-page Passport booklet (10-year validity):
Old Fee: ₦70,000
New Fee: ₦100,000

However, the passport fees for Nigerians living abroad remain unchanged.

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by this increase but assures the public of its commitment to transparency and quality service
delivery.
