FG spends N26bn on 30m treated mosquito nets

The Federal Government has spent N26bn on procurement and distribution of 29 million treated Insecticides Treated Nets to 17 states in 17 months, in an effort to combat malaria.


The Coordinator, Roll Back Malaria Programme, Dr. Babajide Coker, told the News Agency of Nigeria that money spent so far was from the inception of the programme in 2009 to date.


He explained that the RBM programme could not cover the whole country simultaneously due to financial constraints, “hence the need to put the states in waves.”


He added, “As of today, the LLIN distributions have taken place in 17 states and we have distributed nearly 30 million nets in those states.”

pls somebody should use his calculator and solve this aritmetic  for us and tell us exactly how much each of this treated mosquito net cost per one. ok from my own calculation the cost of each treated mosquito net cost this nigerian paper robbers,pen robbers,figure adders,wicked, corrupt and apprico government of nigeria about #896.552.eight hundred and ninety six thousand five hundred and fifty two naira per one that is if they have bought 29 million mosquito nets for 29 billion naira but in this case it 30 million for 26 billion naira. somebody else should pls help us in solving this aritmetics.

i am sorry i have got the actual cost of each treated mosquito net . #866.67 eight hundered and sixty naira sixty seven kobo.....that is in a such quantity prices that is not supposed to cost more 150 naira each.
