Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has publicly criticized fellow celebrities for their lack of financial support towards the medical treatment of renowned music video director TG Omori, who is battling a serious health crisis.
TG Omori, a prominent figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry, recently underwent a kidney transplant in Lagos. Unfortunately, the surgery was unsuccessful as his body rejected the kidney donated by his brother, according to multiple reports.
While several celebrities, including Davido and Kizz Daniel, have posted messages of solidarity on social media, none have publicly contributed to covering Omori's mounting medical expenses.
In a video posted on his social media accounts, Portable expressed his frustration with the entertainment industry's response, accusing it of "fake love." He pointed out that celebrities, including Napoli football star Victor Osimhen and music executive Don Jazzy, had financially supported controversial cross-dresser Bobrisky during his legal troubles but had yet to extend similar help to TG Omori, who is in dire need of medical assistance.
"TG Omori has a kidney problem, and celebrities are not donating money or even a kidney for him," Portable said angrily. "But Victor Osimhen and others donated money for Bobrisky, who has no value. The industry is full of fake love."
Portable's comments have sparked a conversation about the responsibilities of public figures in supporting one another during times of crisis. The video director's health battle has highlighted the need for greater unity and tangible support within the entertainment community.
“The industry is full of fâke love. TG Omori has a kidney problem & industry people are not donating money or kidney for him but Victor Osimhen & others donated money for Bobrisky.” — Portable says
