Rapper and activist Falz, revealed that he had a conversation with Bobrisky, about Bobrisky’s legal troubles earlier this year.
Falz stated that during their conversation, Bobrisky asked him for N3 million to secure a VIP section at the Correctional Centre.
This revelation comes after Falz’s legal team, Falana & Falana Chambers, sent a letter to VeryDarkMan, demanding a retraction of defamatory claims made against him.
The letter referred to a social media post by VeryDarkMan, where he accused Falz of colluding with Bobrisky to “pervert the course of justice” by allegedly helping Bobrisky financially to get a favorable outcome in court. Dated September 26, 2024, the letter from Falz’s lawyer, Taiwo E. Olawanle, explained the situation.
The letter clarified that while Bobrisky sought advice from Falz, the rapper refused any financial involvement, saying it wasn’t necessary.
It stated, “On May 4, 2024, Bobrisky reached out to our client for a conversation. Out of goodwill, our client agreed, thinking Bobrisky needed legal advice due to his charges. But instead, Bobrisky asked for N3 million to allegedly pay officials for a VIP section at the Correctional Centre.”
Falz’s legal team stressed that the rapper didn’t give any money, despite Bobrisky claiming his legal team had pushed him to plead guilty.
Falana & Falana Chambers are demanding an immediate retraction and a public apology from VeryDarkMan on all platforms. If this doesn’t happen within 24 hours, they plan to take legal action, including suing for damage to Falz’s reputation.
In a viral video, VeryDarkMan also mentioned Bobrisky’s claim that EFCC officials accepted N15 million to drop money laundering charges. Bobrisky denies these accusations, and EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede has opened an investigation into the matter.
