Farida Fasasi, widow of the late Nigerian music legend Sound Sultan, made a touching visit to his gravesite recently, accompanied by their children. The poignant moment, which was shared on social media, moved fans and supporters of the beloved singer.
In the video, Farida is seen paying her respects alongside her children, offering prayers at Sound Sultan’s final resting place. She captioned the post with a heartfelt tribute, "May Allah ease your pain and grant you comfort. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un," invoking the Islamic prayer meaning, "Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return."
The video, which has drawn an outpouring of support, marks over two years since Sound Sultan’s passing in 2021. Known for his socially conscious lyrics and profound impact on the Nigerian music scene, Sound Sultan remains cherished in the hearts of many, with his family continuing to honor his memory.
