Ololade Ayelabola, a University of Lagos (UNILAG) undergraduate, has been walking for over 71 hours in an inspiring bid to break a 41-year-old Guinness World Record for the longest distance walked on a catwalk by a model.
Standing at 5 ft 10, she was previously rejected from two national fashion shows for not being considered tall enough, but her determination has pushed her to challenge the strict modeling standards prevalent in Africa.
By walking for an ambitious 96 hours without stopping, Ololade is not just setting her sights on a world record—she’s raising awareness about inclusivity in the modeling industry, where rigid height requirements often limit opportunities for many aspiring models.
