Nigerian actress and content creator Amarachi Okoh, popularly known as Marahchi or Ada Igbo Nile, has made a clear statement against promoting segxwal content in the entertainment industry. In a recent interview with *Potpourri*, the Enugu-born actress revealed her refusal to engage in projects that conflict with her values.
"I even screen the songs artists bring for promotion," she said. "If it’s a sex-related song, I won’t promote it. There are other creators who would do that; everyone has their style. I cannot endorse a sex enhancement brand."
Marahchi, who grew up in Oba, Anambra, before relocating to Lagos for her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), also shared insights about her experiences in Nollywood, particularly as a dark-skinned actress. Despite challenges in the industry, she doesn’t believe her complexion limits the roles she receives, stating, "I feel it’s all about the talent."
Further highlighting her personal boundaries, Marahchi discussed her reluctance to take on intimate scenes in films. "I haven’t kissed in a movie yet, and I don’t think I can. It’s because of my personality and the kind of family I come from," she explained.
Her firm stance on avoiding segxwal content in her work emphasizes her commitment to upholding her personal values. Marahchi’s refusal to compromise, even in the face of industry pressures, has set her apart as an actress who prioritizes integrity over popularity.
