Nigerian actress Bolaji Ogunmola has highlighted the significance of maintaining a small circle of friends for mental health and well-being. In a recent video shared on her YouTube channel, Ogunmola emphasized the value of having a close-knit group of friends rather than a large social network.

Quote
“I don’t have a big circle of friends,”
Ogunmola shared.

“I have many colleagues and acquaintances, but only a few friends who really know me.”

Ogunmola also offered advice on the importance of helping others without expecting anything in return. She cautioned against a sense of entitlement when offering assistance.

“When you help someone, don’t expect anything in return,” she explained. “As humans, we sometimes feel entitled when we’ve given something. But true kindness is helping without expecting a reward.”

Additionally, Ogunmola urged her viewers to stand up for themselves, especially in the face of false accusations and injustice. She noted that while it’s good to trust in divine intervention, it’s equally important to speak up when wronged.

“When people spread negativity about you that isn’t true, don’t stay silent,” she said. “I used to think God would handle it, and He does, but you must also defend yourself, especially against injustice.”

The actress's message of self-advocacy and maintaining meaningful relationships resonates with her commitment to mental well-being and personal integrity.
