The United Kingdom has announced significant changes to the financial requirements for student, tourist, and work visa applicants effective in 2025.

Students planning to study in the UK must now demonstrate evidence of £12,600 (approximately 26.3 million Naira) in their bank account to cover living costs if they intend to reside in London. For those living outside London, the required amount is £9,900 (approximately 20.6 million Naira). These figures are exclusive of the first year’s course tuition, which applicants must also prove has been paid.

Additionally, visa application fees have increased. The standard student visa fee is now £510, while the tourist visa fee has risen to £120.

Prospective travelers to the UK are urged to take note of these changes and plan accordingly. Share this information with others who might be affected.
