Lagos- An Ebute Meta Magistrates Court, Lagos on Wednesday granted a N200,000 bail to a septuagenarian landlord, Adesomoju Odoro who was docked for alleged defilement of a nine-year-old girl.
Odoro, 79, is standing trial before Mrs Folashade Kayode on the charge of defiling a primary two pupil (names withheld).
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Paul Inedu told the court that the landlord unlawfully had carnal knowledge of the minor, whose parents' were tenants in his house at No 3, Aiyetoro St., Ebute Meta, Lagos.
Inedu said that the offence was allegedly committed on Feb. 12.
According to the prosecutor, the minor came to meet the septuagenarian in the communal kitchen where he was preparing lunch and told him she wanted to defecate.
“After taking the girl to the toilet, the accused took her into his bedroom and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her,'' he said.
The prosecutor said that the accused had been previously arrested over similar allegations of having carnal knowledge of three other minors but was let go by the police.
Inedu said that the offence contravened Section 218 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State.
Kayode admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties who are to deposit N50,000 into the court account.
The case was adjourned till March 30 for further hearing. (NAN) ]

Nigerians at any age never stop suprising nigerians, even the entire world. If not madness how can a 79 yrs old wood a baby with an expired blood. Let the judge tell this man, for God to allow him to over-stay here, did not mean he should destroy anything b/4 his going back to his grave. Or let the judge use the court fine to arrenage 4 marriage 4 him immediately so that other children would be spared.

What is Really wrong with most of the Lagos landlord in Nigeria? I had been read several urgly act from lagos landlord in this website. the Government of Lagos and the entire police force should fine better solution to disolve all these evil act.
Lagos state has become a state of strange crime because tenant don;t have money to rent house again, What tenant are really passing from those herited landlord hands is getten too much. Well majority of them have not travel to see what is going on part around the world. Na to dey increase and collect house rent they phyuk small kids, e.t.c
Oga Landlord make you travel first, Nor be person go tell you to behave well. Another some parents are too careless about their daughter whether is the hardship there or not parents should always monitor their kids because of the things are happening in niger this days.
The police should always that such man will continue that evil act after Bailing from the Court. Any way such person will not try those rubbish in my state he must face real phyuk up treatment F UT) before the police jail him too. They should give that girl good treatment ..

How can a nine year old girl not know the way to the toilet or how to clean herself up? Or what is the man trying to insinuate? He needs to spend the rest of his days in jail.

it is a pity, the man should be castrated so that he would not be able to do that again because i know the police will surely free him.
