The Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development (MYSD), in collaboration with the Domestic and Sexu@l Violence Agency (DSVA), have rescued a 9-year old girl allegedly mol#sted by Baba Michael, a carpenter, who lives at 4, Azeez Ademola Street, off Anishere, Ayobo.
This was a response to a viral video posted by Comedienne Princess last night January 31 in which she raised alarm to notify the public of the ugly incident. Princess stated that the victim’s mum is late and that people who are aware of the ugly incident were trying to sweep it under the carpet.
A statement from the Lagos state Commissioner for Youths and Social Development, Mobolaji Ogunlende. today February 1, states that the survivor has been placed in protective custody, and is receiving necessary medical care and psychological support through counseling.
Ogunlende added that the alleged perpetrator has been apprehended and is currently in custody, with DSVA handling the legal proceedings to ensure justice is served.
