The deceased, Mr. Adeola Odunlami, a chairmanship aspirant on the platform of the ACN, was found dead in his car.
The News Agency of Nigeria learnt that the deceased was found dead sitting in his ash coloured Nissan car with a seat belt fastened and all the doors locked along Moborode Road in Ijebu Ode.
NAN further gathered that the deceased father, Chief Odunlami is the vice-chairman of ACN in Odogbolu Local Government Area.
Eyewitnesses said there was no mark or blood on his body when he was eventually brought out of the car by the police.
According to eyewitnesses, who spoke with NAN on condition of anonymity, the death of Odunlami is mysterious.
The source said, “When I came out with my family on Sunday morning to go to the mosque to pray, we saw a vehicle with a man inside and we did not bother to move nearer because we thought the man was drunk.
“When I came back from the mosque and still found the man in the car, we moved closer and discovered that the man was dead. It was then that we alerted the police.
When the police came to the scene, they broke the car doors and brought out the corpse after taking the pictures. The body was later taken to Ijebu-Ode mortuary while the car was taken to Igbeba Police Station.
