In a major anti-narcotics operation, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Bauchi State intercepted a Toyota Tundra truck loaded with 526 blocks of skunk, weighing a total of 505 kilograms, along the Bauchi-Gombe highway on Tuesday, May 6.
The intercepted vehicle, bearing registration number RBC 111 DW, was transporting the large consignment of cannabis when it was stopped during a routine patrol. Two suspects, identified as Isaac Onogure, 37, and Ikechukwu Peter, 44, were apprehended at the scene.
NDLEA authorities say the seizure is part of intensified efforts to curb the movement of illicit drugs across state borders, particularly on major transit routes in the North-East region.
