A Queensland man has pleaded guilty to trying to rape a 99-year-old Melbourne woman during a home invasion.
The Victorian County Court has been told Christopher James Valle, 24, tricked his way into the great-grandmother's Ormond home where he assaulted and molested her last September.

He also stole the woman's credit card and $70 in cash.

Valle pleaded guilty on Thursday to single counts of attempted rape, aggravated burglary, recklessly causing injury, theft and two counts of indecent assault.

The pre-sentence hearing is continuing.
