More revelations have emerged on the number of students of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU),Ago- Iwoye, Ogun State, who lost their lives following robbers’ attacks on five banks within the permanent site of the institution on Thursday.

Authorities of the institution had, on Friday, claimed that only three students lost their lives during the attack.

The revelation came to fore on Saturday during the visit of the state governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, to the institution, as it was gathered that bodies of two students were found inside canal, four hit by stray bullets, while three others ran into a hive.

The pictures of the victims were conspicuously pasted on the walls during the visit of the governor.

Governor Amosun expressed shock over the number of casualties recorded during the attack, but assured that the days of robbers were numbered in the state.

He said security measures were being put in place to checkmate the activities of the men of the underworld.

Amosun, while addressing the studentcommunity, commiserated with the students and families of those who lost their lives.

He promised that his administration would equip security agencies in the state, while urging the students to join hands with the state government to turn the state educational institutions to citadels of learning.
