Youths the FGN is not our enemy. The real enemies are those unseen hands in the cabal who have positioned themselves to perpetually reap us off. They are busy ochestrating riots and hoping that Mr. President would rescind his decision so that they can laugh and call him 'weak'. They never imagined this would happen. Its not a PDP or ACN or CPC matter. Its a decision that has been made purely for the purpose of getting our country back on track just like many others recently made. By the time we are back on track there will be enough for everyone's need and nothing for anyone's greed. We have no business with NLC demonstrations especially when NLC leadership has refused to read in-between the lines. With Subsidy Removal no cabal will see need to block the building of refineries. Nobody will traffic petrol illegally across our land borders and Nigeria's actual consumption will show naturally and can be catered for. Long Live Nigeria!!!

tmaxdon at 10-01-2012 12:11 PM (12 years ago) (m) All prostesters are idiots, short sighted and uninformed. If you think only of today when tomorrow comes you die The president is thinking about you, your children and gandchildren of tomorrow
Mr, you are yet to see what the protesters have seen. However, most of the people that have been protesting are not Illiterates or Idiots as you think they are doing that because they know a lot of things are missing in the way our government runs the affairs of the country.Do you think there's any subsidy at all on the price of Petroleum products? is it the fault of the masses that our refineries only have 21% of efficiency? No the problem is with the people in power in every sector of Nigerian government, they are thieves, something should be done to bring our refineries back to work and even build more.Small countries like Venezuela has about 11 refineries and they refined enough crude oil for domestic use and export also.Meanwhile, we only have three refineries and the three have just 21% efficiency...I am sure you've not heard of your President's feeding allowance per day, what is he,Sambo and their families going to eat with such amount of money in a day?(CLOSE TO A BILLION NAIRA IN A YEAR).Remember 80% of the Nigerian Population live below 2$ per day, these are the people who will suffer the removal of subsidy and not Jonathan or anyone in one of those thieves Public offices...We have a lot of unemployed graduates, power failure, bad roads and some people can't even afford three square meal...Our Government is not helping the people at all,we accept policies from foreign bodies that can never work in Nigerian until certain things are done...In most of the European countries you will be paid certain amount of money if you are not working, there is a place you can eat and take food for your family free of charge, cloths free of charge and your children's Education is not a problem for you,the Government is responsible for that even if your Children want to study till university level not all the countries that are doing this are very rich but they have good leaders.Tell me what you enjoy as a Nigerian? Yemen is a poor country but they still give their citizens (Students from poor homes) Scholarship to study in Europe whereas most of our Scholarships goes to the Children of the well meaning Nigerians...A lot of things has to be done before the removal of fuel subsidy.... Mr.., I do not want to know if the Information u had presented is accurate or not because its immaterial in this case,.. Nigerians are not in any position to live with fuel subsidy removal for now. Imagine the poverty prevailing in the country!!!.. all basic amenities of life as obtained in other countries is never availble in Nigeria. Electricity, good roads.. education.. infrastructure.. just name them. Besides this,.. Nigeria is in a state of chaos and insecurity with the prevailing boko haram issue! now is this the right time to remove fuel subsidy? .. In nigeria, petroleum is a key commodity and increasing its price automatically increases the prices of other commodities!.. How would the people afford this high cost of things when there is no increase in their income. First things first.. GEJ should have tought of how to make the most important things functional before jumping to fuel subsidy removal.. Refinaries are there not functioning at full capacity.. nd people are dying in hunger and poverty.. He did not think of this..instead, resulted in removal of fuel subsidy..! ?? Afterall, the country has the 8th larget oil reserve in the world and is the fifth largest exporter... We should have the cheapest prices of petroleum without any subsidy but corruption has made this an impossibily...Now please do not post on the internet without deep consideration of fellow Nigerians for it apparently might not affect you( dats impossible by the way!).. you should know the difficulty Nigerians are in and let them fight against these cruel leaders!!! nickas1091 at 10-01-2012 03:52 PM (12 years ago) (m) I am still disappointed that some Nigerian citizens still make comments that support this government action that prompted strike as it is. We import fuel, yes that is true but you dont know that importers are paid for fuel that never reach our shores or diverted for their personal gains and the cost goes to subsidy, this dubious people are very difficult to control because they are thesame people that are above the law in Nigeria.Subsidy on fuel is the only route in which every Nigerian is compensated for our oil. the gap between the rich and the poor is too much that the legal system have some exceptions where they operate. No infrastructures and no peace,oUR OIL is fast becoming a curse to us why.It is a known fact that if one quarter of what is happening in Nigeria is known to the world, iraq will be better than us because we now are afraid of terrorist at home. What a pity, Jonathan is the figure in the centre of this, now mallam is the better choice for the pple.We all should be ready to stand up and reverse this trend because the consequences is massiv.Goodluck naija and may GGGod help us.
