Why do people search for friends on the Web?

What do you think of global mechanization, as the world Wide Web has become a common place of unification or should I call it globalization. And doesn't it baffle you what people tends to look for online? different reasons i may say but why or what are the motives of many web browsers or net users.........

to be able to make a choice from d good,d bad and d ugly. Besides dis,some people don't want to be exposed in d process of trying to get into a relationship bcos of shyness or whatever ,so on d web one those involved in d process are aware of d actions,if it works out fine but if not to ur tent oh israel
