The passage of the bill followed its third reading and a motion moved by the Majority Leader, Mr David Gurara.
The motion was seconded by the Minority Leader, Dr Shehu Danfulani, while Mr Philemon Gidanmana (PDP-Makera) and Alhaji Bala Yunusa (CPC-Tudun Wada), called for the passage of the bill without much ado.
Gurara said that the law would empower the government to enforce the registration of hotels, clubs and other tourism organisations through the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
He said the law would boost the internal revenue sources of the state to enable it to deliver social services to the people.
After a brief deliberation, members of the assembly unanimously passed the bill.
The Speaker, Malam Muázu Gangara, commended members for their quality contributions and patriotism during the debate.
Gangara thereafter directed the Clerk of the House, Hajiya Umma Aliyu, to send the bill to Gov. Patrick Yakowa for assent. (NAN)
