Basketball Among Nigeria’s Big Sports — Ekeji

Director General National Sports Commission and Nigeria’s Chef de Mission to the Olympic Games, Patrick Ekeji has revealed that because of the feat posted by the Nigerian basketball team from the qualifying stage in Venezuela to the Olympics in London, it has joined the big sports in the country.

Ekeji, yesterday at the Nigerian House said football, track and field and basketball are now Nigeria’s big sports. He said Nigeria now has comparative advantage in these sports especially interms of raw materials. “The issue of developing five sports where Nigeria has comparative advantage will always generate comments.

There will always be comments but football, track and field and basketball are some sports where we have comparative advantage interms of raw materials.”
