Are Kindness and Tenderness Signs of Weakness?
"If I cry in movies people will think I’m weak."
"If I’m kind, people will take advantage of me."
"If I'm gentle, people will see me as weak instead of powerful."
"Is Being emotional a sign of weakness?."

It is always sad to me when I hear people say this. I can easily identify with them, as I was also brought to believe that kindness, tenderness, and deep feelings were signs of weakness.
Is it strength or weakness to have your heart open, rather than closed and protected against your fears of rejection?
Is it a sign of personal power or a sign of weakness when you put up walls of anger and judgment to protect yourself from being taken advantage of?

Please advise me?

thanks @50cent 4 this topic, people do take advantage of kindness and tenderness, just imergen my own junior brother i use my hard earn money to plan is life give him good advice that made him who he is today,he look into my eyes and told me he kick away every thing that i have don 4 him and insult me along with it, i was angry and told him to leave my house he simply pick up is things and tell me that he know me that i will be the one to come and look 4 him,  so i vow never to find him and that i did and i am very happy i was able to stand by my word ,i believe this will make him to see me as is senior brother and know my value too, as he stands on is own, is good to be strong  hearted some times  becouse people are taking too much advantage of meakness and kindness, i have been there i know what i am saying,...

Is it a sign of personal power or a sign of weakness when you put up walls of anger and judgment to protect yourself from being taken advantage of? That is called a facade,its a defense mechanism in a way to protect one's heart or image but its also a form of pretense.It's a veil people put over their face so people wont be able to figure out their emotions,sometimes they even liar when people ask them about their welfare,they'll say they are great and all that stuff when they are hurting deep down,depressed or bored.if something hurts you dont bottle it in just express it through tears in your private or share it with someone who cares about you who would help heal and strenghten you.A woman is the weaker vessel and she needs a  real/strong man or even true friends to strenghten her but they like faking the funk to hide their emotions because they dont want people to see their weakness.There's a reason why women fake being a tomboy or a stud,dem kind of women are the emotionally weak ones,its all a front,its a facade.
