After reproaching the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the purported gaffe involving the party’s registration on Tuesday, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said it is totally unconcerned about the affairs of the opposition, especially the new merger party and that it is ready and able to withstand any activities presented by them.

The national publicity secretary of the party, Chief Olisah Metuh who was reacting to questions on the registration of the APC said the ruling party’s main objective now is to regain focus and unity and regroup for the forthcoming 2015 elections.

He said the ruling party is commencing a zonal reconciliation tour to give all estranged members of the party the opportunity to return to the fold ahead of 2015, irrespective of their reasons for defecting.

Chief Metuh added that the doors are open for any former member to reconcile without conditions so far as they meet all constitutional requirements and are prepared to work for the unity of the party.
