The Students’ Union Government, SUG, of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo [RUGIPO] in Ondo State has tendered its apology over the recent protest staged by the students over the hike in School fees.

The students, who protested on July 7, to press home their demands of reduction in school fees and against the newly introduced policy of “No School Fee, No Test” linked their action to effect of youthful exuberance and thoughtless.

In a statement separately issued by the Full Time SUG’s President, Akinomotomiwa Ayipada and Secretary, Owadasa Olanrewaju and Part-Time SUG’s President ,Oluwole Adegboro and Secretary, Abiola Olowe commended the Rector, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun for his contribution to the growth of the institution.

The students added that they have reflected on the event and came up that the protest was totally unwarranted and unjustifiable.

The Part-Time SUG particularly said its members ignorantly attended the stakeholders meeting held on Sunday, July 6, where the ideas of the protest was planned, saying they did not participate in the protest staged on the following day.

The Full Time SUG statement reads: “We did apologize that your magnanimity and priority given to welfare of students had been taken for granted by the reason of our protest. It is on record that no Rector in the history of this institution has committed much time and resources to the improvement of students’ welfare like you have done so far.

“We are very much sorry for the embarrassment and discomfort our protest might have caused you and the entire management team. We have indeed learnt our lesson and promise that nothing of such will ever rear its ugly head in future”.

Already, the management of the institution has fixed August 11 for the students to retur back to campus.

African's i just want to use this medium to reach as many as i can , and also to express my anger over this so called  Ebola virus , it's enough, the westerners have intimidated us enough and we are no longer slaves to any body, this is western conspiracy to force the black continent to review their  Same-Sex Prohibition ,  why would it been now Huh?Huh?Huh???  brothers    2014  the westerners threatened that  they will scale down its support for HIV/AIDS and anti-malaria programmes in Nigeria in  response to the Federal Government’s position on the gay rights issue.

And now this Ebola virus has been spread in the black continent  to bring the government under pressure to review their same sex marriage law in other to help them get a cure for the Ebola virus virus, please Africans think about this if am wrong with my expression,  now the virus is not even killing people but the fear of the virus .  the symptoms of this virus seems like that of a chemical weapon that was tested and used in the middle east, i know what am saying  i have a point and i know am not far from the truth.
