IF OJUKWU WERE WRONG, THEN THERE WOULDNT BE ANY NEED FOR NIGER DELTA MILITANT ACTIVITIES. IF IKEMBA OF NNEWI WAS CHAMPIONING THE CAUSE OF THE IGBOS ALONE, THEN WHY DID HE MAKE EFFIONG WHO WAS A CALABAR MAN HIS SECOND IN COMMAND? FOR THE INTELLECTUAL BENEFIT OF THE UPCOMING GENERATION OF NIGERIANS WHO ARE WELL MEANING OJUKWU WAS FIGHTING AGAINST THE MARGINALISATION OF NOT ONLY THE EASTERNERS, BUT ALSO OTHER MARGINALIZED PEOPLE IN NIGERIA. TO JUSTIFY THESE FACTS, MORE THAN FOURTY YEARS AFTER OJUKWUS DECLARATION OF BIAFRA, IT DAWNED ON THE IJAWS, THE OGONIS, THE MIDDLEBELTERS, INSHORT, THE MASOP THAT OJUKWU WAS RIGHT. SO THATS WHY OJUKWU WENT AND VISITED KEN SARO WIWA IN PRISON...GUESS WHAT HAPPENED? THE MEETING WAS TOWARDS THE EVENING BUT OJUKWU GREETED SARO WIWA GOOD MORNING. WHEN INTERROGATED BY JOURNALIST HE SAID THAT IT WAS AT THAT TIME THAT THE PEOPLE FROM THAT PART OF THE COUNTRY STARTED EXPERIENCING WHAT HE FELT MANY DECADES EARLIER. NOT FORGETTING THE BACKING AWAY FROM THE BIAFRA CAUSE AT THAT TIME. AND ALSO OF THE ABANDONED PROPERTY SAGA WHICH TURNED THEIR FATHERS INTO EMRGENCY HOUSE AND LAND OWNERS AT THE EXPENSE OF THE IGBOS. PLEASE LETS NOT DECEIVE OUR YOUNGER GENERATION, WE OWE THEM THE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH.

Yony-Banta...well ur name sounds more like a malawian name than a Nigerian. i respectfully dissagree with ur point of view. coz i understand from it that u are highly uninformed, just to use a milder word than "ignorant" which u may consider too harsh. ur first show of ur ignorance is seen from ur very first statement which reads: "ojukwu is never sincere about his demand".and by admitting that igbo man was actually being sluttered in many parts of the country because of specific reasons which u never cared to pronounce underlines ur own insincerity. and exposes u as one of those igbo haters which nigeria should strive to get ride of, if ever the geographical entity known as nigeria should get healed of its incurable diseases and brace to take up its stand as the giant of africa indeed! however,if u r really a malawian which i suspect, i want to let u know that nigerian problem is not religion, but tribalism; which the blood thirsty Hausa-Fulani with some few yoruba cohorts, have infused into their children. if on the other hand u r a nigerian, i still urge that u tell ur father to tell u the truth about the genesis of nigerian problem. believe me, if he is sincere to himself, he will reveal to u that the gensis of it all is from "jelousy". the easterners were prospering too rapidly- in the economy, business, politics, education, military,etc...ibos being at the centre of prosperity in the oil rich east. but if ur father refuses to tell u the truth, go the library or bookshops in nigeria, ask them of the book entitled "Why We Struck", an eye witness account written by a yorubaman. Otherwise, tell ur brother Yaradouathat the cosmetic or fire brigade approach of "amnesty to the MOSOP" is as hypocitic as it is cowardly.and cannever stop agitation for fairness in the disbursement of Nigeria oil revenue, etc.there is a time bomb which will surely explode if the nigerian people continue suffering in the midst of petro-dollar plenty.once upon a time, i know what it means tobe a citizen of an oil rich country...to be a libyan, algerian, saoudi arabian, venezuellan, quatarian, baharian, iranian, united arab emiratian,...govt.provide every of their need accordingtothe oil riches in quantom. housing, free education, jobs, etc r available. In Nigerian, the real monster is tribalism which is the brain child of jealousy. tribalism brings about "winner takes it all " syndrome in our polity.that in turn brings about corruption. this as we allknow has a far reaching cylic effects which vary from social to economic...thats why we find ourselves where we are at present. Ojukwu is man. So also is Ken Saro wiwa, Gani Fahwemi, Tai Solarin, Wole soyinka, Dele Giwa, etc. of course the list is very long...i doff my cap to Nigerian University students, especially those of the UNN, UNIPORT,UNILAG,UNIBEN,OAU, etc.the future of the nation is in ur hands, u haveall it takes to bring aboutthe Nigeria of our dream. We Nigerians abroad have a very high expectation of you guys!!
