Pope Francis hope for the Catholic church to embrace gay unions failed after the more conservatives in the Roman Catholic church refused to veto the final document that the catholic church should learn to respect the positive aspects of gay couples because,they have "Gifts and qualities" to offer the church .They however changed the initial document to accept that men and women of homosegxwal tendencies must be welcomed with respect and sensitivity and should not suffer from discrimination .
Proposals to allow divorced and remarried Catholics to receive communion were also defeated.

At the final closing ceremony yesterday, Pope Francis who wants a more merciful and less rigid church said in regards to the rejection of change by some bishops "God is not afraid of new things. Cardinal Reinhard Marx, Archbishop of Munich.said.. “Exclusion is not the language of the Church,”“You cannot tell Catholics living in irregular family situations, ‘you are a second-rate Christians’.”

Its true that things and human-being are bound to change no matter who you are in the Lord , no matter how holy you are devil can still use that person to course havoc , its only God almighty that never change from ages to ages he remain the same, if indeed pope made such statement ,well who am i to judge him, its between him and God.

Dis pope shld be careful amd don't let GOD be angry wit him. Thank GOD d synod didn't go d way he wants it, catholic church would have been divided by now. Which yeye same sex acceptance be dat.

I have been asking myself why Pope Francis quit for u to take his position and I know he didn't want to fall for this homosegxwal shot that was why the Vatican pushed him away and put u in. Am sorry for those who still believe in churches with all these drama going on
