In a bid to upgrade the education sector of Lagos State, Governor Babatunde Fashola has announced that traditional chalkboards in secondary schools and tertiary institutions will be replaced by multimedia interactive solutions. "All tertiary institutions and secondary schools, totalling about 10,000 in Lagos State, will have the multimedia interactive solutions in each of their classrooms to replace the traditional chalkboards which will allow for world-class teaching and learning." Fashola said. The state will be partnering with Cambridge-Hitachi to make the dream a reality. Confirming the news, Director, Local Organising Committee, Cambridge-Hitachi Virtual Teaching and Learning, Ms Adebukola Oluderu said the partnership with the company was a result of a roundtable meeting on education in Africa held in October, 2014. She added that a team of delegates from the state would meet with the Cambridge-Hitachi team at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom to sign the Memorandum of Understanding for the commencement of the centre. "The multimedia solution is vital and important to teaching and learning as it is the hub in which the gains of the Cambridge-Hitachi International Virtual Teaching and Learning Centre will be transferred and transmitted to all schools," she affirmed.

This Fashola should have been nominated for President. The man get VISION
I believe so too. But Nigeria is just a vision less country they prefer the incompetent one. Fashola is one of the reasons why I support APC presidency because he will surely play an important role in the cabinet
