Most women fantasize and threaten to get their own back. But do you know that many women don’t stop at fantasy alone? They actually go ahead to do it. An eye for an eye, or two eyes for an eye occasionally.
Christie Adekola is one of these women who look all soft and gullible on the outside. One look at her and you conclude that you can get away with just about anything you do to her.
Wole, her boyfriend of many years thought so too. For the five years they courted, Wole was the lord and master. He treated her like a woman who had no choice. He went about with all sorts of girls and if Christie did as much as complained, he threatened to leave her.
And Christie cried like a professional mourner. Wole went about his skirt-chasing with relish. And Christie waited in the wings, in the shadow of Wole’s many girls. Twice, Christie got pregnant. Twice, Wole denied responsibility and Christie had to settle for abortion.
Friends and relations told Christie to look for another man but it was like talking to a deaf person. So, she was left to play the fool. Nobody knew Christie had her own ace. Deep down in him, Wole wanted a woman like Christie for a wife, a women who’d let him have free rein of other women’s skirts. Eventually when he got fed up with roaming the streets like a victim of Sokugo disease, he proposed to Christie. She accepted and everybody thought she deserved it, like a patient dog. But this patient dog had other plans.
Meanwhile, wedding plans were put in place and Christie put her own plans too in place. She collected money from Wole for everything she needed and told Wole she wanted to surprise him so he couldn’t see all the things she had brought until d-day.
True she had her surprise well wrapped and packaged. She jetted out of the country on the morning of the wedding after leaving a long note of what she thought of marriage to a cretin like Wole. That was how far, a woman can go.
Biola didn’t go that far. She went out with a terribly handsome man who was constantly chasing or being chased by other women. Eventually, Biola thought she’s had enough. So she found out the address of all the women who her boyfriend had been going about town with and invited them all to the guy’s mother 60th birthday party which was supposed to be strictly for the family.
The fracas and confusion that messed up that party was all the revenge Biola wanted.
An Alhaja, who runs a million naira wholesale/retail outlets in Mushin refused to give her name. Her revenge is sensitive enough. “My husband and I courted for about 10 years. I had just finished primary school and was assisting my mother in her shop in Oke Arin when I met him. He proceeded to go abroad after his university education, while I went for my A levels.
We were close and our families knew of our affair, yet each time I got pregnant, he told me he was not ready to be a father and I got rid of it. Eventually when we got married the doctors told me the abortions have virtually ruined my chances of ever having a child. Now we have no children and he has married four more wives.
As long as I live, no woman will have a child for him. Two of the wives are gone and the remaining two who are stubborn enough to stay have never and will never get pregnant. If it costs me my last drop of blood, both of us will die childless. Not me alone.
Fela lived in America or 10 years and returned with a German wife. The moment he touched down on these shores, he threw fidelity and decency to the winds. He had forgotten that white women don’t have stomach for roving husbands.
But Maria, his wife, also learnt a few things about Nigeria. One day, Fela came home to find an empty home. His wife’s note told him she had sold everything in the house and gone back to Germany with their three sons.
What about a girl who sent an incredibly smelly dead fish through courier with a simple note: There are plenty more of these in the ocean”
And a boss who called his secretary a slut. The Oga was having an affair with one of his daughter’s friends. So, one day when the girlfriend came and the boss had closed the door, telling the secretary not to disturb him and to hold all the Cell-phones, the secretary picked the phone and called Oga’s home and in a frantic voice, told the wife that everybody had gone home and Oga had just had a heart attack, could madam come over quickly? She did and caught her husband sweating, pants down with her daughter’s friend under him.
So how far will you go to get your revenge? And guys, don’t take that girl for granted. Your life may depend on it
