MTN had renewed deals of music stars like Iyanya, Praiz, Chidinma, Sound Sultan, Tiwa Savage, Dr Sid, Don Jazzy and others, but no mention was made of other ambassadors like Wizkid, Davido, Sean Tizzle and others. Fresh facts are now emerging that the left behind stars may have been dropped by the telco company.
According to a report on Fuse (an affiliate of the booking agency – ‘Upfront bookings’ in charge of the deals), some showbiz stars including Sean Tizzle, D’Prince, Timaya, iMike, Yaw and Afrojuju king, Shina Peters are among those whose contracts were not renewed. An exclusive event was held on May 27, 2015 at Fuse Lounge, Victoria Island where MTN unveiled its new array of brand ambassadors – no prize for guessing the trio were conspicuously MIA!...
