APC Debunks Alleged Relocation Of Boko Haram Suspects To Anambra:

In a swift reaction, the Spokesperson, APC, South-East,Mr. Osita Okechukwu in a statement said:
 
”We wish to state categorically that the rumour making the rounds that Boko Haram detainees will be transferred to Anambra State or any other state for that matter is blatant falsehood.

“We have made contacts with the Presidency, Nigeria Prison Service, Ministry of Internal Affairs and they have assured us that there is no iota of truth in the mischievous rumour.
“In the clarification, Nigeria Prison Service stated unequivocally that, ‘most of the terror suspects are awaiting trial and so there is no way they can be moved to another state, because they must be tried in the state where they committed the crime’.

“Accordingly, the South East Zone of the APC candidly appeals to our dear compatriots to disregard the blackmail and sinister rumour of rear-guard elements; who are yet to recover from their failure in the March 28th presidential election.

“We assure our people that the change President Muhammadu Buhari promised is real: the 2nd Niger Bridge, Federal Roads, Enugu Coal and other physical and social infrastructure in the South East will be revamped”.

Irrespective of whether the story is true or not,they should not even think about it in the first place.You know some of these false stories are feelers just to check the present mood of the society and to see if the false stories (feelers),could actually be implemented.Thank God you mentioned the sensitive nature of the matter,most of the boko haram victims are South Easterners and boko haram have already demonstrated a strong antecedents of breaking into prisons to free their detained members,they have done it several times even in military detentions,now some of these prisons breaks comes with some collateral damages in the form of killing innocent prison workers or unfortunate people who happen to be passing near the prison at the point of the break in,now these being a very sensitive matter,bringing the boko haram prisoners to Onitsha or any other place in the South East is just a sure way of ensuring the boko haram break in in the prisons in the South East,with its accompanying collateral damages (lost of lives of innocent citizens),they should know better than to heat up the polity unnecessarily.That is just my point.I hope you understand.No hard feelings.
