RIP: Super Falcons' Media Officer Gracious Akujobi Passes On

The media officer for the Super Falcons, Gracious Akujobi, has passed on.

Akujobi was the spokesperson of the female national team, following them to tournaments and relaying information about the team and players to the press.

She was also a journalist and writer, and a sports reporter for Prompt News Online, a position she’d held since 2013.
A statement by the site’s publisher, Akeem Oyetunji, said Miss Akujobi, was on a national assignment as Super Falcons Media officer when she passed away on Wednesday night in Abuja.
She was with the team ahead of the Falcons’ Olympics Games qualifier against the Equatorial Guinea.
