ADEGBITE SIJUWADE/DOLAPO ONI
Though the Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade wasn’t at the traditional wedding of his son Adegbite, the ceremony was royal by all standards. Prince Adegbite Sijuwade married TV gal Dolapo, the daughter of Chief and Chief(Mrs) Olowu. Representing the groom’s father was billionaire businessman High Chief Alex Duduyemi, CFR(Aro of The Source), while the groom’s beautiful mother Olori Morisola Sijuwade was seated next to him. The traditional wedding held amid pomp at the Landmark Event Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos where the best event vendors were contracted for the ceremony. Shuga Band was the official musician of the day. The white wedding of Adegbite and Dolapo is scheduled to hold in London on Saturday, 10th October 2015.
TEMITOPE FANI-KAYODE/JAIYE RANDLE
The nuptial between the Temitope, the daughter of former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, and Jaiye, the son of astute elder statesman Bashorun JK Randle, will go down as one of the biggest Nigerian weddings of 2015. The pre-wedding ceremony – the introduction- held on Monday, 22nd December 2015, at the home of Temitope’s stepfather, Dahiru Wada who is married to Yemisi (Femi Fani-Kayode’s ex-wife). The traditional wedding held in Lagos a few weeks ago and climaxed in London penultimate weekend (1st August 2015) with the holy solemnization. Though Temitope’s father didn’t attend either of the 2 events, the ceremonies pulled the high and mighty from all over the world.
ABDULAZEEZ RAJI-RASAKI
On Saturday, 1st August 2015, Abdulazeez, the son of Brig. General Raji Rasaki(retd.), and his belle had their wedding. Last month, their traditional wedding held in Lagos and expectedly it was a grand affair as the bride’s mother Sherifat Onifade is also highly-placed in the society. She is the CEO of Princess Abike Fabrics.
PRESIDENT BUHARI’S OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHER
Bayo Omoboriowo is President Muhammadu Buhari’s official photographer. Though the president was unavoidably present at the solemnization on Saturday, 1st August 2015, as he had official assignments, some chieftains of the All Progressive Congress(APC) were in attendance including Edo State governor Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and his wife Iara. Bayo Omoboriowo tied the knot with his belle Lola (nee Omitokun). The couple got engaged in Dubai in the first quarter of 2015.
NANA KUSHERKI
For the status of Nana Kusherki, many expected that the sexy Abuja-based fashion designer would opt for a grand ceremony. But she had the first leg of her marital rites quietly in Kusherki, Niger State on Saturday, 1st August 2015. Nana is married to a Yoruba man and from what we gathered, the second leg of the wedding will hold later this year. Nana’s official photographer for her wedding was award-winning Aisha Augie-Kuta.
