Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has recalled how he escaped death under the leadership of later former dictator, Sani Ababcha. Obasanjo, who made this disclosure on Friday at his Presidential Hilltop residence in Abeokuta, while playing host to officials of the National Association of Nigerians Students, said he would support President Buhari’s government.
Recalling his near death experience under the late Abacha administration, Obasanjo said that he and some retired military officers and civilians were jailed in 1995 for allegedly plotting to overthrow the administration and released after Abacha’s death in 1998.
He said, “The alternative to democracy is worse than democracy. I experienced that. Abacha put me in prison and I was about to be killed. If it was under democracy (democratic rule) that would not happen.
DAILY POST Predict & Win: Arsenal vs Liverpool The Ota farmer noted that no matter what the critics of President Muhammadu Buhari might be saying, Nigerians had started to witness a Nigeria of their dreams within the two months of his leadership.

obasanjo is the problem we have in Nigeria.please let us put sentiment aside because it cant help us.We headly hear about other countries part leaders because they allow the president to act which he obasanjo should emulate from them. It is very funny for him to be claiming that all those that elected from 1999 to date are all corrupt except himself. He should kindly go and retire
