After spending several days in EFCC custody, the embattled spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olisa Metuh, has finally been charged to court by the anti-graft agency.
The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has finally filed a seven-count corruption charge against the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Olisa Metuh, after more than one week of being detained in their custody.
The charge FHC/ABJ/CR/05/2016 which borders on breach of trust, criminal diversion of public fund and money laundering, was filed against Metuh at the Federal High Court (FHC) in Abuja on Thursday.
The charge indicated that the PDP spokesman in November 2014 obtained a sum of N400m through Destra Investment Ltd from the office of the then National Security Adviser (NSA) Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd.) on behalf of the PDP for campaign activities.
He was accused of converting part of the money to one Million US Dollars and diverted it for his personal use while another sum of N21.7m was transferred to another chieftain of PDP, Chief Tony Anenih. Meaning that the money given to him was for campaign use,jonathan re-run campaign,pls we all should understand that all these huge amount of money being mentioned here is from pdp led government,why all this probe&noise as if they just stole the money from somewhere,thou some use it for their own personal interest,just call this people tell them to refund back those money that they use for personal matters,but for election re-run campaign money,that is politics,let's face fact,you&i knows that it is never done.

mmm... Politics or not, This was arms money meant to equip the army which they diverted and shared, thousands people died bcos of this, soldiers were ridiculed, BH were gaining more territories and security of generality of Naija became a huge problem, And you think its ok?? Olisa Metuh even declined to return d blood money instead he went on hunger strike.

I sincerely do not care if anybody is facing charges of corruption or looting of public fund. Just allow the law take its due process. Charge them to court, grant them bail and allow the judicial system to find them guilty; that is what democracy is about. Retaliatory and antagonistic annihilation make for dictatorship devoid of democracy.

Well i have the beliv that na all of them go pay for this, mostly those people that work with former president. they are still many that we surely pay bck our money. Efcc keep doing una work, i they una bck.
