According to reports making rounds online and social media, a presenter with Television Continental (TVC) in Lagos, Wale Fakile, who co-presents 'Trends' and the more popular, 'Question of the Day', has been arrested for allegedly battering his girlfriend with many bruises after a vicious assault. It was gathered that his arrest came after the case was reported by a Facebook user who received a distress message from his girlfriend, and went further to publish an s.o.s message along with pictures of the victim crying out for help to save her life.
The message read: "I am Mandy, my supposed boyfriend that works with TVC, beat me yesterday to stupor WIth bruises all over and he said there is nothing I can do about it bcos he is rich and works with TVC and am poor." The case has also been reported to the Ministry of Women Affairs and management of TVC. The staff has been arrested and the matter will be properly investigated.
