@ Poster, people with genotype SS are adviced to marry only those with AA to avoid giving birth to children with the SS genotype. thanx for the info....but i knew that since ma secondary sch days.......thats why intending couples are advised to ascertain their genotype before getting married to avoid carriers marrying fellow carrier.
