A U.S Army veteran, Chuks Okebata, has been assassinated in broad daylight, while on a short visit to his hometown in Umuduruorie Umuomumu Mbieri in Mbaitoli LGA of Imo state.
According to his cousin, who shared the story with GISTMANIA, he narrated that the deceased had just completed a house in his village and had come back to spend the vacation in his hometown.
Chuks was assassinated at exactly 5pm on the 12th of Jan 2017, after some gunmen abducted and shot him’.
The Army veteran is said to have been married but has been in serious battle with his wife in the US.
A bounty, to the sum of N2.5million, has been placed on anyone with any clue or information that can lead to the arrest of the assassins.
Already, friends of the late Chuks Okebata have since taken to social media with heart-warming tributes to mourn his demise.
He came back to Nigeria after he finished building his mansion in the village, only to be abducted and shot on the 12th of January. Read the story according to his sister, Lilian Ndiukwu below...

I won't be surprise if his siblings has a hand in his death. People are too despirate these days. They don't know how the man work hard for what he has, but they want to take him out and enjoy his sweat. May the guy spirit tortured and torment those that took his life.

That's a very common phenomenon in the Biafra and yourugba world .Imagine me haven accomplished my dream and got executed in the most gruesome way for no bitter reason than just what is known and generally common among African "evil jealousy " Or enviness or greed ,could be those he entrusted to build the house out smarter him ,so they could own what doesn't belong to em .Shameful thing in our society .May Jah deliver us !

It is sad that our brothers and sister come to the Usa to make money to try to make things better for them to return home after they have sufferd to make money and the people they trust would kill them for it it is so sad it is not easy they work hard nothing is easy for africans or african americans here.
