Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has stated that policemen who took photographs with the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu will be punished.
The IG made this clear on Thursday when he addressed policemen at the Police College, Ikeja during a two-day visit to Lagos.
He said:
Quote
“Nationalism is key. Some officers were taking pictures with Nnamdi Kanu and this is someone that is challenging the unity of this country. “We will not take it with levity. There should be no double loyalty to Nigeria. No matter your rank, your commitment to the country should be absolute. “As policemen, you must be committed to unity, leadership and authority of government of this country. No double standards are allowed.”
Idris, however, appreciated the men of the police force for their commitment to duty, saying, “you are important for this job. We depend on you.”

This Nigerian govt continues to be elusive and inordinate in the discharge of their duties. Mr IG, what section of the constitution did they violet? Just every iota of criticism on the govt is called and labelled treason. Can Nigeria really grow up in this century of social civilization? Police have been warned by UN and International communities not to confront liberation agitators, why does the IG think these officers are exception to the peace and order accorded to peaceful demonstrations by Nigerian Constitution - an enshrinement of democracy?

I think the IG has forgotten at this moment, Igbos, IPOB or MASSOB are still Nigerians, and they have right to be protected by the police and army? Until a referendum is actualized and Biafra emancipated, the constitution of Nigeria still protects every citizen or provides protection for every citizen.

IG should first order the arrest of Abba Kyari and his group who posed with Evans in several pictures. In fact all the Police in Ikeja will be arrested for dancing and snapping with Evan de Kidnapper.
