Arsenal will be seeking to keep their four-game Premier League unbeaten run in tact at Watford on October 14.

The Gunners endured a tough start to the new season with two defeats from their three August League games, but went on to win six of their seven matches in all competitions in September.

With Arsenal only dropping points in a Stamford Bridge stalemate against Chelsea, confidence is once again high in Arsene Wenger's squad as the Gunners travel to Watford.

Expectations are high after Marco Silva recruited heavily this summer, but the Hornets' strong start to the campaign - just a point behind Arsenal in eighth position - should mean a tough task for the Gunners.

Watford host Arsenal at Vicarage Road with kick-off scheduled for 5:30pm on Saturday, October 14.

Team news


Watford's Nathaniel Chalobah faces a spell on the sidelines after it was confirmed he needed surgery on a knee injury.

Younes Kaboul is working his way back from a hamstring problem through the international break. Craig Cathcart and forward Mauro Zarate continue their recovery from knee problems.

Shkodran Mustafi will miss out after damaging his thigh on international duty, with Germany coach Joachim Low suggesting that the defender could be out with a long-term problem.

Wenger will be aiming to have Mesut Ozil back to full fitness after the playmaker was rested by Germany, while Laurent Koscielny will also be expected to return.

However, Ozil may face a fight to get back into the starting XI after a front three of Alexandre Lacazette, Alex Iwobi and Alexis Sanchez impressed in the 2-0 win against Brighton.
