Please do not bring up your daughter to accept herself as a punching bag for her husband. Do not bring up your sister to think of herself less than a precious vessel from God to be loved, nurtured, adored, etc. Please do not raise up young girls telling them that a man has the right to treat them any which way that the man wants. God commanded the husband to love his wife the same way he loves his own body.
If any man is stupid to hit me, and I reserve that I am talking about my own body, I will kill that man. There are women that will put up with it, but I know that thousands of women die daily because men beat them up and killed them. That is not my portion.
I have a very loving husband that has his own rules as well as respect my own rules. Do not hit me at all! He has never hit me for the many years I have been married to him. He is a responsible man that provides for his family. I respect him dearly and love him very much, but under no circumstances will he ever think about mistreating me in any way. I am the flesh of his flesh, bone of his bone. How can he possibly hurt his own self? IMPOSSIBLE!
