"I’m Too Busy To Go Get Birthday Gift For My Wife, Melania" - Donald Trump Says

US President Donald Trump has adduced reasons for not getting his wife a gift as she marks her 48th birthday Thursday

The President confessed that he was rather too busy to go get a birthday gift for the First Lady.

The day before, though, Mr. President had, in a tweet, commended his wife’s flawless hosting of visiting French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Briggite.

However, during a telephone interview on Fox & Friends, Trump confessed that he didn’t have a gift for his wife.



He said, “Well, I better not get into that ’cause I may get in trouble. Maybe I didn’t get her so much.”

Trump added that he did get the first lady “a beautiful card and some beautiful flowers” and then added, “You know, I’m very busy to be running out looking for presents, okay
