Depends on who Ur in it with but I'd say living a godly life as before God and unto God and not for eye service does wonders; plus if things don't work out U would still have lost nothing and gained a lot.
Just keep adding true value to Ur life in character and knowledge and U will remain attractive to the right one.
More effective in the push to marriage than love is the value the would be spouse attaches to us.

People want to own what they attach value to. If in the period U know a person ur interested in, they have added value to their lives as individuals and members of the society, U most likely will find them more desirable.
Eliciting the characters a person finds desirable in a spouse is also easier if U hone the skills and train urself in the disciplines that lead to the manifestation of those characters too.
