A female student of the Federal Girls College Akure has been asked to destroy her phone with her rock for smuggling the phone into the student's hostel against the school's rules and regulations. People have criticised the punishment as too harsh suggesting that the phone could have be confiscated for a period of time before it should be returned to the student rather than destroying the phone and wasting it.
