
The current governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has abandoned his current APC (All People's COngress) party to join the opposition PDP (People's democratic party) party. The move came after years of bitter rivalry with the APC national president, Adams Oshiomole who is also from Edo state. Their infighting led to Godwin Obaseki being disqualified to run for primaries of the governorship election under the APC party. Godwin Obaseki retaliated by joining the opposition PDP, where he will now contact for the governorship position from. Meanwhile, his nemesis, Adams Oshiomole has also been suspended as the Chairman of the APC by the courts of appeal following an existing suit which is being treated in the courts. Adams Oshiomole is hoping to the issue to the supreme court for a re-dress. Gistmania was able to obtain some exclusive footage and photos of Godwin Obaseki being accepted into his new party.
