WHY ARE LADIES AT THE RECEIVING END?

This close friend of mine cheats a lot on his G/F,
but yesterday, when he discovered that his girl friend
equally cheats, he dealt mercilessly with the girl with
beating. This morning, I sat him down and spoke sense
to his head and he felt remorse and regretted his action that
he went to the girl's house to apologise.

Why are ladies at the receiving end? Your opinion please.

Men who beat the opposit sex are supposed to be throwed in the zoo.
The guy is not married to the girl and he has the impunity to lay a finger on him. I'm sure marriage to such person will be hell.
