Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi, who has constantly rooted for Olarenwaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba-Ijesha, ever since he was arrested for allegedly molesting a child has reiterated that the actor is innocent.
But, Princess, the foster mother of the teenager allegedly molested by Baba-Ijesha, has released more evidence against the actor.
Baba Ijesha was arrested sometime around April, for allegedly molesting a 14years old girl, he was later granted bail based on his health issues but was unable to meet his bail condition.
The actor was on Wednesday, June 16, arraigned before Magistrate Peter Nwaka on charges of rape, segxwal assault and abuse of a minor but was denied bail.
Nwaka refused the actor’s fresh bail application on the ground that the Lagos State Ministry of Justice had filed charges before a High Court.
However, Fabiyi, who is trying to clear Baba Ijesha’s name said there is no concrete evidence against him because according to him, the victim is insisting he did not commit the alleged crime being levelled against him.
Fabiyi wrote, “Baba Ijesha never had sex with her. Baba Ijesha never had sex with her at any time. Baba Ijesha never applied any force that may exhibit any intention to rape. Yet they want a past seven years purported event based on oral evidence with no single authentic proof added to the charges, which will enable a High Court to have jurisdiction to work on the case.
“Bail is not a guilty or innocent verdict.”
Fabiyi also stated that at one point Princess and his colleague Iyabo Ojo had plans to kill Baba-Ijesha if he was granted bail.
But Princess in her efforts to show more evidence that Baba-Ijesha committed the crime he is being accused of, has released fresh evidence against the embattled actor.
In a post on her verified Instagram account, the comedienne, in a series of posts, shared a recording of Baba-Ijesha, claiming that while in police custody, the actor asked his group members to spread false information.
Baba-Ijesha was heard saying in the voice note,

“When something happens to someone that has a name, one must tread carefully so that the matter will die down. If you keep answering her, the matter will not die down. After she said this, she cannot say another thing tomorrow. She cannot go to social media again because they have banned everything.
“You people should not fret; all of you should just keep doing publicity for me but act as if you do not know me. Share messages; I know you know how to write inspirational articles. Just say that we do not know the truth yet but Baba Ijesha will still come out by himself. That is all you need to say. Apply wisdom in all you do.”
