Ms. Douglas denied rumors that she divorced Atiku because he married another woman in a viral message shared by Punch. As per her understanding, she was aware that as a Muslim, he was allowed to more than one wife.
Atiku has demanded that she reclaim their Asosokro matrimonial home from her, she said. According to her, the former Vice President gave her the Asokoro house as a present, but when she requested for a divorce, he demanded that she return the house’s documentation.
She claims that when she inquired him about where he wanted her to go if she exits his house, he told her that she should find a place to stay because she was the one who requested for a divorce.
