I always wondered about it myself.  A woman is supposed to remain a  virgin until marriage, but if she gets divorced or the husband dies she can remarry, so what about the virginity for the new husband?  It seems useless to me, unless you are guaranteed to be married to only one man for the rest of your life.  Many women also use it to have a sense of superiority over another who was not a virgin on her wedding night.  At the end of the day it matters not of virginity or no virginity because all honeypot end up in the grave a feast for maggots.
